Metropolis shows the St Petersburg of XIXth century, as the capital of the Russian Empire. Each room here tells a story of one of the most important people in the history of Russian music and literature, from Griboyedov to Shostakovich. The shabby-chic styled rooms preserve old ceilings with stucco molding, tiled furnaces, and stone window sills. We have decorated the rooms with antique furniture and unique objects to reflect each room’s character: there is Raskolnikov's route map in Dostoevsky's room, and a pair of antique pistols in Pushkin's room. The characters of our rooms will show our guests the imperial era at its peak and decline.
